To best serve all of our clients in the most efficient way possible for them, we offer in-person appointments, mail-ins, emailing your information, faxing your information, or you can use our drop-off service!
Upon arrival to our office, we pull your previous year file, ask you to verify your basic information such as name, address, phone numbers, social security numbers, occupations, children's names and their information, etc. If you are in our office for an appointment or drop off, we gather this information in our reception area. If you are not in our office, one of our staff will contact you.
If you are a new client, we request you bring your previous year's tax return. Not only do we want to compare returns to make sure you didn't forget anything, but in many cases, we find errors or omissions from previous preparers. This may have cost you money in the past, but it could save you money now.
We will gather all your tax documents, fill in the basics, and deliver your file to one of our preparers. If you are staying for an appointment, the next available preparer will call you to his office shortly.
Our preparers are trained to ask you for important information so as to properly prepare your return with the best possible results. If you have any questions or concerns, please ask at this time. Once your preparer has completed his evaluation, your return is turned over to James for review. James has completed returns for 40+ years and has reviewed every single return for 30+ years. Not a single return leaves our office without his review and approval.
If you are from out of town, or have difficulties getting to our office, we will make every attempt to complete your return while you wait, time permitting. If you prefer to leave your information, one of our preparers will compare information with your previous return, call you with any questions or discrepancies, and complete your return later that day or the very next day in most cases.
Once we have completed your tax return, we will notify you and give you several options for the pickup and/or filing of your return. We understand that there are so many different work schedules and other family commitments for everyone. We do everything we can to make your experience convenient and pleasant.
SAFETY COMES FIRST:
For everyone’s safety, if you are coughing and sneezing and generally don’t look/act well, you will be asked to leave. We really have no choice. We agree this is unfortunate, but we have to protect everyone. We only have a staff of 6-8 people. We work long hours, everyday, in very close quarters. If one of us becomes ill, there’s a great chance that we all will get sick.
